Shop Fronts
Most shop front windows use laminate glass, which conforms to BS 6206 Class B (for 6.4mm thickness and up; 4.4mm is rarely used, and conforms to BS 6206 Class C). Laminate glass is essentially two pieces of float glass bonded together by a PVU interlayer. The primary purpose of this glass is to maintain security and integrity upon impact, by distributing the force of the impact across the glass surface, while the PVU interlayer holds the glass panes together, creating a distinctive “spider-web” appearance.
Laminate glass can usually be replaced on the same day, as our engineers usually carry this glass on their vans. However, large and/or thicker than normal panes will usually be a next day service, dependant on glass dimensions.
We will be able to give an estimated ETA for the glass over the phone for you. We can install glass for practically any installation, from windows to office partitions.

Express Battersea glaziers offer a complete double glazing service including a local double glazing installer, double glazing repairs and Battersea replacement double glazing.
Double-glazed units take approximately two to three days to order, and all our units come with a manufacturers guarantee. If requested, we can replace the vacuum between the glass panes with a layer of Argon gas, to further facilitate heat management. We can also supply and install triple-glazed units on request for Battersea and the local area.
